Lovely blog to browse - good work. I have a matter of historical importance to raise, however. Your sidebar notes that my hometown team Lincoln City beat Tulsa 9-2 in October 1979, yet 'Lincoln City FC: The Official History' by Donald and Ian Nannestad claims that the result was 8-2. Will this crucial stat ever be clarified? Did the official score-keeper fall asleep after the eighth goal and miss one, or had he already gone home? Monday night games were extremely rare in the UK at that time, especially for lower division teams like Lincoln, so I'd guess the attendance was in the very low four figures, at best. Unfortunately, the game passed me by completely as I was on half-term vacation with my mum.
